Ministry - Primental
This early track predates their chug riff and fascist 808 march sound that they would become known for. While I dig that sound too, I find that it has become rather standardized within the industrial rock cannon. Apparently, Jourgensen claimed that the record company forced them to adopt a synthpop sound while other sources state that Jourgensen simply hadn’t been exposed to more caustic acts at that point in time. Whatever the reason, I think Jourgensen should give himself more credit because this track is top notch.

This is a mash up of The Missing and Deity from Ministry’s 1992 tour.
Sound isn’t the best but it’s a bootleg so it’s as good as it can be.
Turn it up!!
Now playing - Ministry: Twitch
As I continue to listen my record convention picks, I find I am trapped in the mid-eighties thus far, as this one is from ‘86. This was the first Ministry album I ever owned in my younger day. It’s not nearly as well-known as those that came out just a short time later when he got a little more acclaim, but it was my introduction and I was pretty damned obsessed with it.
Industrial outfit Ministry’s ex-bassist; Paul Barker has released his collaboration with Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless) for streaming. The track is titled “Victory”, set to be featured in ”Fix: The Ministry Movie Soundtrack”, and can be streamed below:

Ministry - Burning Inside
"o, why can’t i live a life for me?
why should i take the abuse that’s served?
why can’t they see they’re just like me
i’m not the one that’s so absurd"

Ministry. Live.
Canada for the win, like always!
Recorded from an episode of Dave Kendal’s 120 Minutes on MTV in Summer of 1992.
Double TAP - Ministry
Is ‘Relapse’ really the fastest, heaviest thing you’ve ever done?
Well, it’s pretty cool, that’s all I got to say. It’s pretty cool, it’s not gonna disappoint any Ministry fans or any hardcore fans or anything else like that, there’s a little bit for everyone. I’m glad I did it and I’m glad Mikey talked me into it but I wasn’t really looking to do this album like, “What the hell’s goin’ on?” It’s pretty funny, it’s a pretty good record.
